Cooked by Mom founder Namrata Tanna came to DICE for our signature ‘Chat with Chai’ session. These sessions give students and industries leaders a chance to interact in a meaningful yet relaxed atmosphere.
Cooked by Moms is a social enterprise that empowers underprivileged women by leveraging their cooking skills and bringing home-cooked food to workplaces.
The session shed light on the difficulties of launching your own business and the perseverance it takes to make it grow. The achievements of Cooked by Moms today, showed students the light at the end of the tunnel and how small steps can lead to big successes.
Students also had a chance to taste their wonderful food first-hand as volunteers from Cooked by Moms lovingly prepared a brunch for them. The students understood that work in the social sector is as valuable and requires as much dedication as work in the corporate sector.
